I make my living as a communicative geek. I like to think of myself as "Speaker for the Geeks". I have a background in software and security - most especially the nexus of the two in the web world. My career and the explosion of the WWW started about the same time, so I know quite a lot about old school and new wave web technologies. I've spent the last 10 years passionately implementing, integrating and breaking PKI and other key mangement systems, bringing a love of security to the table. Now I get to run a team responsible for creating the security vision for a massive enterprise grade firewall and directory server system.

I'll always be found at the nexus of people and technology - where hard problems need smart people who need help creating and implementing answers. While I'm a smart person myself, I'll always think my greatest skill is helping smart people form a team to get the really hard stuff solved in the best way possible -- as a team.

When I'm not doing software stuff, I study medieval India, study dance, and work in the Burlesque scene.
