I performed a search on the web but could not find any results, therefore I thought to ask here:

Is there a website or an agency where someone can find job listings for working as a Software Engineer in the field of Adult Entertainment industry (e.g. xnxx)?

It is rather impressive that these websites are huge and have major technical challenges in scaling, yet I could find very few job listings for them. These companies must have Development needs, so how can I find these jobs?

Is there a reason you're focused on this, rather than just looking for a job in large-scale streaming media and letting them find you? Admittedly the porn industry is usually one of the firsg adopters of any new communications technology, but they're no longer the biggest/best in that arena since the tech has matured. – keshlam Oct 26 '15 at 15:32

@keshlam yes, there is, but it's personal and therefore off topic I guess? – Yiannis Tsimalis Oct 28 '15 at 11:40

Generally I have found most of the large adult oriented sites out there are developed and maintained by a company under a different name. If you look at the PornHub network (pornhub, redtube, brazzers) those sites are developed and maintained by a company known as MindGeek.

Try searching for the companies in charge of the sites and not search so much for the site names themselves.

One of my good friends runs a company that does this kind of work. He is contracted by the owners of websites, so you will probably never find out the name of his company (and I'm not going to say what it is). He has about 10 employees, and they are all remote. He always brings them together for the annual industry convention in Las Vegas, Adult Entertainment Expo. That would be the ideal place to try to find work, but AEE is mostly an industry only event, so you cannot get in without knowing someone.

The best advice is to look for work with one of the major players and make connections to get into the "boutique" stuff. Believe it or not, I saw ads on job sites for positions at Hustler a few months ago. Ironically, that is how my friend got started in the business.

Thank you for the answer, it's the first not obvious response that actually provided me with information I did not already know. So your friend works as a contractor with the company and he is leading a whole team that works remotely, each one as a contractor as well? Maybe freelance websites are the way to go for adult entertainment websites then. – Yiannis Tsimalis Oct 26 '15 at 20:17
