Is it really needed to add consulting/ contract job experience in the resume or it is okay to skip it?

Reason being that for international students to get direct full time job is tough but once you get one I would like to understand if the full time employer's resume, which we will submit, does it really need to show your consulting experience or is it okay to skip it?

In your institute for immigration you will just update them that you got a new direct job and immigration office already have your past experience records. So for H1B filing does your current full time company need to have the resume with consulting work experience or that should be fine?

What if you don't want to show consulting experience to the direct full time client?

I am trying to understand what you are up to: what is it about your consulting experience that you are trying to hide, from whom are you trying to hide it and why are you trying to hide it? Your post needs editing for clarity, by the way. I don't know whom you are applying to but if your post is reflective of the quality of your writing, there is a pretty good chance that you are not going to make it. The more highly skilled the position you are going for, the stronger your communications skills are going to have to be. – Vietnhi Phuvan Jan 6 '17 at 2:48

Your "reason" for skipping the experience reads like a snake biting its tail. "Is it okay to skip the consulting experience, reason being that getting full time job is tough, but once you get it, do you really need to show the consulting experience." That makes no sense, and your overall post is highly unreadable. Please edit your post to make it more understandable. Voting to close as unclear what you're asking. – Masked Man Jan 6 '17 at 3:50

Skipping any recent relevant experience can only hurt you. Consulting is work experience.
