Feb 22, 2019 at 0:54 comment added Fabio says Reinstate Monica @DigitalBlade969 "Who in their right mind signs something with blank spaces to be filled out at the discretion of the other party after the fact ?!" Sadly, those who have a very simple choice: accepting this kind of blackmail, or remaining unemployed. This was very common in Italy until some years ago, when they made a law that makes it impossible to use this trick.
Feb 21, 2019 at 8:58 comment added DigitalBlade969 @jpmc26 I was going to change badass into ballsy but checked the Cambridge Dictionary.I did use it correctly: "[ C ] a bad or slightly frightening person: He plays a 21-year old badass who gets into a lot of trouble. [ C or U ] someone or something that you admire or find impressive: This car is pure badass...I wanted to express that it's impressive with how much gall/impudence the boss acted. At the same time he is a bad guy who you don't want to have as your boss.Who knows what other psych games and bullying tactics he does. Thanks though for pointing it out,it made me reflect on the term.

Feb 20, 2019 at 16:06 comment added Acccumulation "might be not even be legal"? It would be pointless to have any sort of protections against being fired, if this sort of thing were not illegal. Otherwise, a company could just say "okay, one of the conditions of employment is that you sign this".
Feb 20, 2019 at 13:56 comment added jpmc26 @DigitalBlade969 "Bada**" still has a set of positive connotations that make it not fit here, though. "B*llsy" would work very well, as it doesn't carry those kinds of connotations.
Feb 20, 2019 at 13:54 comment added DigitalBlade969 @jpmc26 oh it's badass in the brazen way the boss showed steel balls by even suggesting such a thing. Who in their right mind signs something with blank spaces to be filled out at the discretion of the other party after the fact ?! It takes a special kind of person to even attempt this. And yes jackass indeed fits nicely, just like many other, more NSFW terms...
Feb 20, 2019 at 13:45 comment added jpmc26 @FooBar ???? I don't believe notice is required for termination in the U.S., or at least in most of it. It would primarily be outside the U.S. where legal roadblocks could be bypassed.
Feb 20, 2019 at 13:43 comment added jpmc26 "bada**" has mostly positive connotations; it implies doing something impressive and worthy of respect for the sheer display of ability. I think you're looking for a word more like "jacka**".
Feb 20, 2019 at 11:04 comment added UKMonkey @FooBar all they need to do is add the date of <today - notice period> and thus you have a resignation with no notice. (Also "it might not even be legal" no, it's not)
Feb 20, 2019 at 9:48 comment added FooTheBar "without notice" Not all people in this world are living in the US...
Feb 20, 2019 at 9:11 comment added Borgh The moment you sign a document it becomed the 'final' version and can only be ammendend with more signatures from both parties. So adding a date is essentially forging a signature, aka fraud. But now on how to prove that...
