My course of action would be to probe the waters about a raise (if your company is even willing to throw $5 your way). Then secure an offer (say an offer of X+10,000), and go to your boss - there you say your desired salary. Adjust by whatever benefits you find applicable. If they say yes - great, you didn't blackmail anyone with another offer and you got your raise in a job you know well. If no - also great, you thank them for the time spent working together and move on to your new opportunity. | |
