From their standpoint, you now have something to fall back on when you don't get your way. If I ever have employees that resign, I'm not letting them back out of it without a really good reason. Simply changing their mind won't be a good of a reason.

Aug 30, 2019 at 18:24 comment added computercarguy This has a smell of "ultimatum" to it. Those are only good for destroying relationships and burning bridges. If you're going to quit, quit. Don't quit then not quit, because what's the chance you won't use that tactic again to get your way?
