The point is, a large company should be able to recognize this problem and deal with it. In principle, any company should, but if there's any point in working for a large organization it's that there's some hope of getting away from the amateur mistakes, and graduating to the big-time mistakes | |

I work at a smallish (~100-150 headcount) office of a "Fortune Fifty" company in the US. Our approach to booking conference rooms in this facility is completely haphazard, and we probably also don't have enough in aggregate. (I suspect overbooking and not releasing is a big culprit.) There are various historical reasons, mostly stemming from our decentralization; point is, large companies have a wide variety of organizational challenges among them. | |
