Dec 9, 2020 at 5:49 comment added user439 I've got a lot of experience on this. First clear it with your boss, eg "Hi boss, I've got this fantastic idea that will save X, Y, Z and I plan to write to Joe Blogs, could you do me a favour and proof read the email before I send it?" Then make sure what you write it short, to the point and elegant. The exec can follow up if he/she likes it. Exec's are extremely time poor and the last thing you want is them telling your boss not to email them again. I'd also be armed with a few rivals if they ask, eg fastcompany.com/company/capital-one or where I work we have NAB Labs.

Dec 8, 2020 at 21:26 comment added Oscar @TomTom I havent asked my manager, im sure he would say no. He gets very nervous about change and generally tries to keep a low profile. I want to go without asking him. At least he will be able to deny knowing anything about it if anyone complains about me.

Dec 8, 2020 at 21:23 comment added Oscar @TomTom former company was a well known tech company you've probably used today. Yes its a large IB. The partner is the person responsible for this particular area.
Dec 8, 2020 at 21:21 comment added TomTom What was your other former company? Because a bank is not in any ways IT affine and - going too high will definitely make you bluinder, contrary to i.e. a smaller software house. And "banks" normally do not have partners - are we talking of a large investment bank like JpMorgan? Is that Partner in any way related to the memo or just a random dude you pick?
