And a good manager will take the heat for a bad recommendation, but you have to remember that "sh*t rolls downhill", so a bad manager or bad upper management will still cause the OP grief, up to and including firing. The responsibility should be with the manager, but I've lived long enough to know that "should" and "is" are 2 different things. Even CYA doesn't work in many cases. | |
