Dec 7, 2013 at 15:08 comment added IDrinkandIKnowThings In scrum updates are supposed to be quick. That information is for a discussion with a lead or manager not for the daily standup.
Dec 6, 2013 at 10:29 comment added nik I would admit that I was a little scared for the relationships with my peers, if I say their name that they have something to do with my blocking of doing the work. But That worked out well. Everyone understood that something is blocking me, and my peers agreed to finish of their jobs as fast as possible. Thanks again!
Dec 5, 2013 at 15:42 comment added Clay Nichols That last point is a GREAT way to spin this into a positive. (I'm available, anyone need help?)
Dec 5, 2013 at 15:31 comment added DJClayworth @Yannis "On a daily stand up, one or all members of the other team will be present". Actually no. Standups are for within a team. Other teams have their own standups. It's usually the Scrummaster's job to facilitate interaction with other teams.

Dec 5, 2013 at 13:27 comment added nik Agreed. And about what I am doing in my lost time: Nothing productive i would say. Sometimes, I am learning about my field through Internet. But most of the other times, I do not do much of productive work. I really do not know what to do.
Dec 5, 2013 at 13:22 comment added yannis "What is the current status of the other Team, and the prediction as to when you'll become unblocked" On a daily stand up, one or all members of the other team will be present, and they are far more qualified to talk about the status of their own work. "Who on the other Team you are talking with about how to get their part done, so that you can start" You're assuming the OP can talk to whatever team is blocking their own work. That's not always the case.
