There seems to be some variation between companies and precise jobs in how common it is to have a profile (more likely in a start-up than a firm where most people have been there 10 years), but if you see people from your current company then you can assume it's safe.

Nov 19, 2021 at 14:59 comment added TineO @OmarL it being visible is sort of the point. It is meant to indicate to recruiters that you are looking. So you want it to be visible to the public. I believe you can set it so that it doesent show to people who are with your current employer.
