If you do, in my experience chances are not so bad that it will be turned off without any negative repercussions to you. There may be a bunch of co-workers who prefer no-radio, but are not bothered that much to say anything. | |

noise-cancelling headphones — This is the answer. I once worked for someone whose kids were in the office and a loud attention seeking parrot. The only way to focus was to use headphones.
