I used to fight the nervousness and uncertainty that I was sure was in my voice, until someone pointed out that it was causing me to come across as combative, angry, and caustic. People will respond much more positively to nervousness (we've all been there, even if some of us go there considerably more often than others) then they will to perceived negativity (regardless of whether that negativity is actually there or not.) | |
