Rather than point out the person, point out problems which require rework. Rather than say "this guy is doing poorly", phrase it as "training opportunities for the team to keep up with changing industry standards". If you can address the problem but de-personalize it, it will raise a red flag as to the "what" but let the boss draw conclusions as to the "who". | |
