Apr 15, 2021 at 8:22 | comment | added | Rustumir Stormbraid | @PrintlnParams After the performance review, I got 8% raise which is good enough for now. Some of the other problems are solved. But later I learned from my team lead that, in the performance review committee the manager I talked to start weighing in to fire me. Since my performance is very solid and I have no prior warning nothing happened. But who knows what will happen next performance review.

Nov 9, 2020 at 9:57 | comment | added | Jon Bentley | @Fattie The counter offer is that OP can switch to a different team. It's not a financial counter offer.
Nov 7, 2020 at 12:48 | comment | added | Džuris | Do you think you could easily get a similar offer in March? If you do, I see no issues with staying if you can get moved to a team that you want to work at.

Nov 6, 2020 at 16:16 | comment | added | spuck | They are telling you that 6 months from now they may match your new salary unless they change their mind or "forget". The new job has better benefits. Are you willing to wait 5 months to see if they actually do match the offer you have right now?

Nov 6, 2020 at 13:53 | comment | added | Fattie | One point - the headline says "counter-offer". There IS NO counter-offer. They have literally told you "we don't care and are offering you nothing". They have explicitly and literally told you you will be getting no raise. Please enjoy your great new job!
