Mar 28, 2016 at 13:32 | comment | added | Old_Lamplighter | @keshlam Everyone SHOULD study core competencies before an interview, especially if one has been in the industry for a while. One can use so much routinely that you forget some of the peripheral things, the seldom used things, and the things you've been using so long that you've forgotten the name of them.

Mar 28, 2016 at 3:20 | comment | added | user3613290 | doesn't everyone study before interviews? I just would rather study more on what the HR rep could possibly reply with
Mar 28, 2016 at 3:17 | comment | added | keshlam | You shouldn't have to cram for an interview, and indicating that you want to do so sends the message that you aren't adequately prepared for the job.
Mar 28, 2016 at 3:16 | comment | added | user3613290 | does it make a difference if it's for an internship vs higher end like sr. developer position
Mar 28, 2016 at 3:12 | comment | added | Kilisi | there's no point to it, it doesn't do anything positive for you just brings you to the attention of HR as someone who needs their hand held.
Mar 28, 2016 at 3:10 | comment | added | user3613290 | so I don't have to possibly waste time studying something that might not be in the interview
Mar 28, 2016 at 3:02 | comment | added | Kilisi | why would you want to do that?
