As an aside- if you're paid poverty wages then you place your family first and get out of poverty. If someone takes offense at that then that bridge deserves to get burned, as they have zero respect for what you do or simply have no empathy for your loved one's condition.
Ok so the profile was correct. Might as well put the application in, but the only issue I see is if you're ok working there under this person and only you can answer that.
Actually I have personal knowledge of 2 LinkedIn profiles where I know someone has left an organization years ago (as many as 8 years ago in one case) and they still have the same information listed. In 1 case, someone is still working at the same organization but they have their old, entry-level position listed. So it's quite possible the information is incorrect.
I don't think you're the worst IT director ever either. To put this in perspective, IT Directors I have worked for do not code. If you're writing, proofreading, or compiling any code whatsoever then you're not a real IT Director. Directors do exactly what the name implies. They direct other managers who in turn manage their subordinates- who code. Managing a single employee is the task of sub-level manager. A analogous situation I can think of is a General with no officers. You can single-out and yell at a top ranked enlisted soldier all day but that's not your role nor what you're paid to do.
This really depends. Everyone generally consents to electronic monitoring by using a company resource (computer, phone, surfing the web, etc). If you filled-out job applications on company equipment, or if the recruiter used company equipment to record your data, then it's not out-of-line for an employee to notice your name in there.
3 months of notice sounds excessive. Was there justification for 3 months? Does everyone sign up for 3-months notice at your work? Just trying to understand the why the agency needs that many days (~90)?
"I have been able to get by without knowing a single thing about Computer Science". This is bad. Coding bootcamps are not a substitute for college degrees in the USA. There are rare exceptions, like your friend with C#, but I suspect his pay is considerably lower compared to those with Bachelor's degrees. Practically all companies will factor your level of education when calculating a salary offer.
@NPSF3000 I think an education can indicate ability. And that ability can be had without an education. It is impossible however to say why a recruiter may think a certain way or why they do things that poorly correlate with ability. I tried to empathize which is the closest thing- that is not good enough? Perhaps it's a bad question then. Can't help that.
@さりげない告白 Sure, it is definitely up to the applicant to take that risk. I actually don't have a problem with wearing a T-shirt to an interview so long as it known in advance that wearing one is ok during the interview (confirmed over the phone or in an email for example). I'm all for that. I also think wearing one without knowing in advance is very naive behavior on the part of the applicant- and then the hope is that the interviewer has some relaxed morals or job standards- which is really presumptuous thinking.
