How to bring raise during probation review

Since my last job, I was made redundant and I had a hard time finding work, during that 3 months gap I was offered a job which I took but at a very low annual salary. 8k less than previous as something is better than nothing. The recruiter (middle man) made the hiring manager also my manager aware of it and my manager told me that after probation we will match his pay given he is good. One month later COVID-19 hit and we were all remote. No 121 (one to one is where manager and employee meet once a month to discuss progress), no chat or follow up. Even this post resonate with me but I tried raising things that can impact my future prospectus but it has gone over the deaf ear.

I called the recruiter and he said generally if the job isn't suited for a person we are told by the manager but in your case, I do not see it that way but it is you(i) have to raise about the matching salary.

Now we r in a final run to launch out product and I m worried about my raise too as current pay do not meet my need e.g. I cannot pay for my son fee or afford the car etc.

How and when should I raise talk about matching salary talk that happened between recruiter and him while COVID-19 has disrupted the financial sector and not sounding greedy which might impact my review? Just want an answer so I can start looking elsewhere
